We all need help sometimes in life, and people with ADHD have their own unique challenges. Whether your goal is to become more confident, less overwhelmed and anxious or to help navigate difficulties with organisation and task management, it can be tough figuring out how to get from point A (identifying a goal) to point B (achieving that goal). That’s where an ADHD life coach comes in.
A life coach is someone who can help you identify strengths and weaknesses and overcome obstacles holding you back, and in that sense they are similar to a therapist. However, life coaches are specifically goal orientated. They help you identify a goal and then create a plan with steps towards achieving your goal.
Life coaching focuses less on the past, and more on what’s happening right now. Life coaching works with you to find out what you want next, and how to bridge that gap.
Coaching helps you to identify obstacles in the way of achieving your goals, assists with motivation and overcoming any resistances to change.
And ADHD life coach does all the things that a life coach does, but with a specific focus on difficulties associated with ADHD.
